Cinta keeps her Ebro river roots with this skin-contact white wine that she makes each year in Vilalba dels Arcs. 100% Garnacha blanca grown on clay-calcareous soils, foot-stomped and macerated for 10 days with the skins to make a lightly structured, amber-colored wine. A fresh nose that recalls of apricots, fennel and crushed petals, with a medium bodied mineral palate that calls for grilled veggies and marisco del Delta. La Nave de los Locos ("the ship of fools") is the project of Cinta Moreso, who hails from Tortosa and who worked as a translator and a sommelier before embarking on her viticultural project. Cinta tends several small plots at 700-1100 meters above sea level, on unique granite and decomposed chalk soils that attracted her to the zone, collaborating with her partner Carlos Ingala, a soil scientist, to give specified care to each site. No chemical treatments are used in the vines, and in the cellar, Cinta lets the grapes sing, letting the wines ferment spontaneously, and not adding or subtracting anything from the wines in the process.
